Reed Exhibitions Africa and ReedPOP, the world’s largest producer of pop culture events, in partnership with VS Gaming, South Africa’s largest independent gaming brand and the leading platform for online gaming in Africa, will be bringing Comic Con to the African Continent from 14 – 16 September 2018.
Comic Con Africa is a 3 day event showcasing comic books and science fiction/fantasy related film, television, and similar popular arts. The exhibition will also feature a larger range of pop culture and entertainment elements across virtually all genres, including animation, toys, gadgets, clothing, collectible card games, table top games, anime, manga, video games, webcomics, and fantasy novels.
Superhero or sidekick – there will be exciting activations to enjoy that include professional gaming tournaments, other gaming activations, Cosplay Competitions, and new Movie and Series promotions. Comic Con Africa visitors can also enjoy celebrity panel discussions, seminars, workshops and autograph sessions.
Exhibitors, Flame On! Comic Con Africa will feature a large floor space for exhibitors, as well as the Artists' Alley, where comic artists can sign autographs and sell or do free sketches.

Tower Defence, this years’ Entelect Challenge (https://challenge.entelect.co.za/) has launched. The event will run from 25th April, and the finals will take place at Comic Con Africa on the 15th September at 11am on the centre stage.

How much are the tickets?
General admission tickets prices: Friday - R120 (launch phase ticket still available), Saturday - R150 (limited stock available), Sunday - R150.
When will BYOC ticket become available?
BYOC sales will go live end May 2018
How do the ticket phases work?
Phase 1 (launch phase) was only for the launch of ticket sales and was sold at a discounted rate of R120.00 per general admission ticket.
Phase 2 automatically kicks in once phase 1 sells out and the ticket prices increase to R150.00 per general admission ticket.
Phase 3 will launch once the line-up has been confirmed and will be for the add-ons such as autographs and photo ops.
When can I buy the Autograph sessions & other add-ons?
Add-ons such as the photo ops and autograph sessions will be bought separately to the general admission tickets. This will be going live once the line-up has been confirmed.
Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?
Kiddies under 6 enter for free, above 6 you would need a general admission ticket.
