WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY PARTICIPATION COSTS OR PAYMENTS ALREADY MADE TO REED EXHIBITIONS?
You have the option for your 2020 contract to roll over to the event in 2021 and you can enjoy the 2020 rate. This means that you will not be subject to any price escalations.
CAN I REQUEST A REFUND?
Yes, however we recommend only requesting a partial refund so that you can enjoy the 2020 rate. You can talk to your sales rep in this regard. Please note we are currently working together with our insurers to determine a timeline on when these refunds can take place. A claim still needs to be processed and we will need to still conduct the full insurance process. We will be in contact with you as soon as the insurance claim process has been completed. Please be patient as we undergo this process.
DO WE HAVE ANY FURTHER CLAIMS AGAINST REED EXHIBITIONS DUE TO THE POSTPONEMENT OF THE EVENT, E.G. CANCELLATION COSTS FOR ACCOMMODATION, STAND BUILDERS, FLIGHTS, FREIGHT, VENUE SERVICES ETC.?
Reed Exhibitions cannot be liable for any loss or costs incurred by exhibitors for hotels, flights, etc. because of the postponement as these agreements were not with Reed Exhibitions. However, we recommend you talk to your Travel Agent or Booking Agent to discuss whether they will roll over your booking to 2021. Many agents and airlines are either giving vouchers or allowing date changes.
We strongly recommend that exhibitors contact your suppliers directly to clarify their policy and check your travel insurance policy.
WILL I HAVE THE SAME LOCATION IN THE SAME HALL ON THE NEW DATES?
Your rep will be in contact directly to discuss your stand as we will attempt wherever possible to accommodate the same or similar location as per 2020. We will advise individual exhibitors if there is any adjustment to their stand position.
In the unlikely event there is a floorplan amendment we will discuss these with any exhibitors who may be affected and we will work with them to find the best solution.
WILL I RECEIVE A NEW CONTRACT TO EXHIBIT FOR THE POSTPONED EVENT?
We will send a simple letter confirming dates based on your existing contract. Your sales representative will make contact with you soonest to clarify the process and arrange for paperwork to be sent to you.
WHAT ABOUT SIDE EVENTS?
All side events planned for 2020 will not go ahead as the ban on public gatherings will likely still be in effect. We will take as many as possible Online for the 2020 dates. We will communicate our new side event and activation dates as soon as they are set.
WILL THE CON BE COMPLETELY ONLINE?
Yes, for the 2020 edition of the event. We will focus on providing fans with awesome content from your heroes in films and series, Cosplay, gaming, tabletop gaming, roleplaying, Anime and Manga, and books and authors. Expect announcements over the course of the next few weeks. We will be in contact with you as an exhibitor as plans are released.
WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN THE ONLINE EVENT AS AN EXHIBITOR?
We are encouraging our exhibitors to participate in the online offering. The fans still want the opportunity to purchase show exclusives and offers. Our sales team will send a survey to you soonest to ask for your input on how you would like to get involved.
