Media Accreditation - Application

Comic Con Africa welcomes members of the media from around the world and is happy to provide approved media members with a complimentary media badge. As with all ReedPOP events, Comic Con Africa is a “fans first” event and approval to receive a media badge is not guaranteed. We must maintain a high standard of excellence when we award media badges so please understand that:

  • Your media badge allows access as long as space is permitting.
  • Your media badge does not allow early access, special access or guaranteed seating.
  • Your media badge does not allow you to cut lines.
  • Your media badge will not allow access into any events requiring an additional ticket.

Complimentary media badges are extended as a courtesy of CCA. Each is issued individually and is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your media badge, and any individuals conducting such activity will be disqualified from media badges at future ReedPOP events.

CCA Media Applications are open to journalists regularly making editorial contributions (editorial press) only. Editorial press includes writers, reporters, reviewers, producers, photographers, cameramen, etc. who are attending specifically to write about CCA and/or cover the event for newspapers, magazines, TV, blogs, podcasts, radio, etc. Non-editorial personnel at media companies such as graphic designers, marketing  and sales staff do not qualify for media access. Non-editorial applications for media access will not be approved. Your approval for media access at other ReedPOP events does not guarantee you media access for CCA 2020. You must complete the entire application whether you have been approved previously or not.

Media access is limited in nature and will be issued only to professionally employed adults. Access will not be issued to children, family or guests. You must be 18 or older to qualify for media access. CCA reserves the right to approve or deny any application and there is a limit to the media access provided to each organization. Decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

After reading this page, please click through to the online form which follows. Complete this form in its entirety and submit it to CCA. After CCA receives your online application, our press office will review your form and respond within the dates listed below. Please understand that simply submitting this form does not guarantee you media access. It is only after this full form is received, reviewed and approved that media access will be issued. Incomplete applications will not be approved.

Applications now open. Please register before Thursday 17 September 2020 by 17h00.

Answer every question as truthfully and completely as you can. There are limited media badges available, which will be distributed across print, radio, television, websites, blogs and podcasts. Please provide as much and as detailed information as you can. Incomplete and vague applications will not be approved.

CCA reserves the right to approve or deny any application. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Include any and all information in your application that will allow the CCA press office to make an informed decision, as you will not be able to submit further information later on if your application is not approved.

If you intend to come to CCA with a crew (photographer, cameramen, etc.), each member of this crew must complete an application. CCA reserves the right to limit the number of media badges provided to any organization.

Have you read it all? (We know, it’s a lot.)
